Must be a current MJC student in order to attend the mandatory orientation for the Home Health Aide program.

Nurse 53 Home Health Aide meets theory and laboratory experiences required for state-certified nursing assistants to become eligible for the home health aide certification. The nursing assistant certification (CNA) must be "active" and "un-restricted".

Content includes: orientation to home health care, personal care of clients including medical and social needs; nutrition, safety and cleanliness in the home.

NURSE 53: Home Health Aide (HHA)
The Home Health Aide course is a short term course for 2 units and requires a nurse
assistant certificate by the orientation date.   No books are required and the approximate
fees are $90.00.
