Appointments are available during the Fall and Spring semesters and walk-ins are available year round. You can schedule an appointment by visiting our office on east campus in the Student Services Building, 226, our office on the west campus in Yosemite Hall, Room 147, or by calling (209) 575-6080.
Online/phone appointments are available on a limited basis during fall and spring semesters. These appointments are designed for students who live outside of the Modesto area or have challenges that make it difficult to make it to campus during normal business hours. Our staff will help you decide if an online appointment will work for you.
Call us to make an online appointment at 209-575-6080.
You can also email quick questions to mjcCounselingRequest@yosemite.cc.ca.us. A Modesto Junior College Counselor will respond to your questions as soon as possible (usually within two working days). If you are requesting information during busy registration periods, the response time may be a bit slower.
Group Advising is available for new students. Students must apply to MJC, complete orientation, and complete assessment testing prior to signing up for a new student group advising session. Group advising is available throughout the entire summer. We encourage students to attend a session prior to their registration appointment.
Walk-ins are first come, first served. Please call (209) 575-6080 before coming in if you are coming from out of town or if you have limited time to wait.
