The Annual Celebration of Lights Holiday Parade and the Annual Spirit of Giving 5K Fun Run are two of our largest events of the entire season! Looking for a fun special event? Pack your hot cocoa, recruit your family/friends and come downtown to volunteer at and enjoy a fun, festive event. These events would not be possible without the help and support from volunteers.

Celebration of Lights Holiday Parade- December 2, 2017
Volunteer duties include manning barricades, float staging, course monitoring, volunteer check-in, etc.
Volunteer times: Shift 1: 2:00PM-8:00PM or Shift 2: 4:00PM-8:00PM

Spirit of Giving 5K Run/Walk- December 9, 2017
Volunteer duties include manning barricades, course monitoring, registration, packet pick up, etc.
Volunteer Time: 7:00AM-11:00AM *Subject to change slightly.

Stanislaus County Government Volunteer Program

The Volunteer Program is a great way to connect people with opportunities to serve Stanislaus County Government Departments and form meaningful partnerships. Countless volunteers currently invest their time, energy, skills, and talent to help make County departments run more efficiently. Volunteering is one of the greatest forms of civic engagement and we appreciate the volunteers who donate their time without compensation. County volunteer opportunities range from one-time events to long-term volunteer opportunities such as providing library books to home bound individuals and assisting at the Health Services Agency. Gallo Center for the Arts

Volunteers at the Gallo Center for the Arts play a very special role and are essential to our success! Volunteers act as theater ushers, ticket office aides, facility tour guides, greeters, and receptionists, to name a few. Our volunteers provide Gallo Center for the Arts visitors and patrons with timely, accurate and consistent information about the Center's programs and activities, and are a primary source of administrative assistance behind the scenes.
