2017 MJC Swimming

MJC had a long and proud history in the central valley. MJC has won conference titles and dominated competition in the central valley for years.

The Pirates have had 8 consecutive state appearances under coach Fischer and have won 5 individual and 1 relay state titles. The pirates have finished as high as 5th in the state and have been top 10 as a team multiple years in the recent past.

MJC has sent swimmers on Scholarship to many 4 year schools. Swimmers often get better offers to better 4 year institutions after dropping time and completing transferable classes at MJC. In the last 8 years swimmers have gone onto the following schools (with scholarship).

Fresno State, UC Davis, Cal Baptist University, Michigan State, Cal State Northridge, Cal State East Bay.. just to name a few.

MJC Pirate Swimming Advantages: Comprehensive Seasonal Dryland training, ppriority registration (guaranteed classes), Commitment to teamwork and excellence in personal goals, academic help for athletes, team financial and community support from college swim programs, weekly yoga/stretching classes for swimmers.

MJC Swimming has had great success with all swimmers gaining better transfer prospects AFTER swimming with the college than before. Our swimmers leave with two years of inexpensive classes and faster times to move on to four year institutions, everybody wins.

MJC has enjoyed a very proud, strong presence in the state for swimming for  over 40 years.
